UV Light Purifiers

The power of the sun can decontaminate your water

Due to increased media attention on global warming, you have probably heard the phrase “harmful UV rays.” The same process that can harm humans is also harmful (fatal, that is) to many microorganisms. Ultraviolet light purification systems harness UV light to treat water and render microorganisms harmless.

UV is essentially a germicide. While it kills bacteria, it does little to neutralize other contaminants.

UV systems use a high intensity lamp in a protective quartz sleeve. Water passes through this system, and tiny organisms are killed. Research has indicated that UV light in natural air is the direct cause of death for 90% of spores and other microorganisms.
