Some older methods, some newer methods

Water filtration products we profile on this site are all relatively new in terms of their development. There are many older methods that are still used and still effective – usually to a lesser degree. Some other methods are not necessarily outdated but have been shown to have limited use. Most of these are markedly different from common systems like pitcher type filtration or whole home water filtration.

Some other methods of water filtration are:

Activated Tricalcium Phosphate (ATP) removes some significant particulates from your water, including fluoride and heavy metals. This effectively removes many small minerals but not to the same degree as reverse osmosis (RO) or distillation.
